Terry McDonell, Sports Illustrated editor said it best: "As magnificent as the moment may be, it is gone in such a tiny slice of time that the only metaphor is a light going out. That fast. But if the flip of the switch is echoed by the snap of the camera shutter, a photographer can catch magic."

I've been doing my best to catch magic for families since opening San Diego Barefoot Memories in 2002.


My images have been published in every U.S. newsstand photography magazine and won multiple international photography awards. I’ve spoken across the country to photographers and to photography enthusiasts, teaching photography and business strategies to thousands. Families come from all corners of the country for a Barefoot Memories photo session. I have been featured on NBC, FOX, KUSI, and KOGO.


But I’d still choose a soccer game with my kids over a photo session as my favorite way to spend an afternoon!
